How, why, when...

What do I need to know?

We are a salon of tranqulitiy, where you can immerse yourself in some precious you-time.

 

We ask that you arrive at least a few minutes before your planned appointment time. Late arrival may reduce the length of your treatment time, or require you to rebook your appointment, although we will do our best to avoid this. To avoid compromising later appointments, if you are running a few minutes late, we would appreciate a phone call to let us know.

 

We ask that you leave valuable items and jewelry at home. It's so easy to forget and leave things behind, as we cannot be liable for any loss you may have.

 

We also regret that in order to preserve Balm's calm environment, children are not permitted in the salon, so we request that you make childcare arrangements prior to your visit. In some instances, we can permit over 16's to be treated, but a parent must be present.

 

For cancellations, we require at least 24 hours notice, otherwise full payment for the treatment will be charged.

How do I buy a gift voucher?

Easy! Either go via the 'book now' button on the top of the page, then click the 'buy gift card' option from the top menu, or pop in and pick one up. We cannot, regretfully, take payment over the phone.

 

If you are buying your gift card online, if you wish to give the gift card to the recipient in person, put your email address in the 'recipient email address' field. Otherwise, input their email for it  to be sent directly to them. 

Gift cards are valid for 6 months from purchase.

How do I know which treatment to book?

Please feel free to book in for a complementary skin analysis, where you can discuss any skin concerns you may have. One of our expert team can then suggest the best course of treatment for you.

Which brands do you stock?

We are a Clarins Gold salon, and retail the full range of skincare and makeup, plus the ClarinsMen range. 

We offer Obagi cosmeceutical products, including prescription products, such as retinol and medical-grade tretinoin.

We also retail Guinot products and Jessica nail and Zen Spa products.

Our spray tan is by Sienna X and our gel nail polish is by CND Shellac.

Before you come in for your wax...

If you are coming in to be waxed and haven't waxed that area for a while, please let us know when booking as it may be that we will need to allocate extra time to your appointment. Informing us at the time of booking helps ensure we allow enough time to give you a brilliant experience - there is no extra cost for asking for extra time. A Brazillian on a regular waxer is a lot faster than someone who only waxes once a year!


We ask if you are having intimate areas waxed that you trim the hair to around 1cm - this makes the process easier and less painful. We also ask that if you are on your period, you rebook your appointment for another time. 


We use both warm and hot wax, depending on the where the hair is being removed from. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies, as this may affect the wax we use in your treatment. 


We can wax areas not on our price list - simply give us a call or drop us an email and we'll be happy to quote you for doing so.

Before your pedicure...

If you are having regular, not gel polish, please be sure to bring suitable open-toed shoes/flip-flops with you. While you are welcome to stay as long as you like while your nails dry, we cannot be held responsible for your nails smudging if they are going back into close-toed shoes without adequate drying time. 


Please also note, if you are having a spray tan at the same time, we cannot carry out a deluxe pedicure as it involves the use of massage oil, which will affect your tan results.
